YOUTH COURT: A POSITIVE MENTORING OPPORTUNITY

TIME TEEN OFFENDERS
Considering that the first Children Court proceedings were held in
February 24, 2011, several area lawyers have

system by coaching students in preparation of
the hearings. Those lawyers are Constance

The Juvenile Courtroom of Memphis and
Shelby County features launched it is first
child delinquency curve and peerjustice program вЂ“ Youth Court docket. Using regenerative justice rules, Youth Court docket
is dedicated to rehabilitating new
nonviolent offenders--holding them
accountable for their behaviors and
training them about citizenship.
The Youth Court's goal is to use positive
